Fireproof Gun Safe in Basement

My basement is fairly damp. I can keep a safe up off the concrete floor but was curious about the damp air. Would this be a bad idea to keep the safe in the cellar??

Get a Golden Rod and/or a Desiccant box. You can find em online but I bet your local gun dealer has them.

The cheapest method is a brand of kitty litter that is 100% desilicate beads.

i bought a 5 pack of these a year ago i rotate them thru my safe's and ammo cabnets.

they just plug in to recharge and the beads change colors when they get full

I know of a guy who has a safe in his cellar. Make sure it's bolted down perferably to a wall AND the floor.

a smaller version that is just as good for safes is cheaper here

I will echo TTAZZMAN--Eva-dry is reusable and very effective. I use 2 at once and then plug them into a wall socket for 24hrs and am good to go for another x days.
